In psychoanalysis, we start with your speaking, your own words, your spontaneous speech. This means opening up the space for free association: ‘Say whatever comes to mind!’
Perhaps there is something you want to talk about specifically, but there may also be situations in which you don't have the ability to find the exact words, yet something can be recognised in your body. Insomnia, severe nightmares, inexplicable pain or physical phenomena such as anxiety, panic or great despair can make themselves felt in the body in various ways.
In psychoanalysis, we assume that the body speaks beyond the semantic logic of a language. Jacques Lacan describes psychoanalysis as an experience that goes via the body. In the psychosomatic department of a hospital, I work with people who are dealing with difficulties in relation to and with their bodies. It is particularly important in psychoanalytical work not to simply halt at diagnoses, but to emphasise something of the singular, of the uniqueness of each individual destiny. Every history, every narrative, every perspective is unique, which is why every psychoanalysis is a highly individual experience. This is where a space can be opened up for what is said, what is not said and the in-between.
If you would like to make an appointment, you are welcome to contact me by phone or WhatsApp. My practice is located in Vienna, in the 15th district. Under certain conditions, a partial online consultation may also be possible. I work with young individuals (13+), as well as adults of all ages, in German, English, or French. The frequency and duration of sessions vary depending on the specific case. We will make an individual agreement according to your circumstances.
I work in private practice, at the Hospital Barmherzige Schwestern Vienna (3rd Medical Department – Psychosomatics), and at the ZFM Therapy Center in Linz, Austria.
